Facility Centrifuge Operator Lead

Position Overview

HPC-Industrial is seeking a Fixed Facility Centrifuge Operator Lead in Norco, LA. In this role you will operate heavy equipment on site and unload waste from incoming trucks.

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies and acting safely at all times.
• Complete daily checklist as required for proper operation of the unit being operated.
• Hands‑on experience operating decanter centrifuges, belt presses, filter press and ancillary equipment (pumps, conveyors, etc.).
• Operate special equipment such as centrifugal and positive displacement pumps.
• Operate 5K hotsy pressure washers.
• Assure unit is never operated in an unsafe manner or in a manner inconsistent with Standard Operating Procedures.
• Complete and submit all associated paperwork as required for waste tracking movements.
• Ensure that all containers are properly secured (i.e., chock blocks, jack stands).
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and as required by Clean Harbors.

• Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on‑the‑job training, and essential experience gained on other jobs.
• Language proficiency: understand English at a level to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations.
• Valid driver license and other requirements of the company’s driving policy when driving company vehicle or using personal vehicle on company business.
• Must be knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers.
• May have to provide Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).
• 10+ years of centrifuge operating experience;
  Thermal Desorption Unit (TDU) operating experience.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
