Class 1 truck driver

Varsteel Ltd. seeks a truck driver for the role located at Highway 3 & 48 Street East, Prince Albert, SK S6V 8A7. Salary: $35.45 per hour for 40-50 hours weekly. Permanent, full-time employment with overtime opportunities.

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
• Address customer complaints or concerns and provide professional customer service.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring cargo safety and security.
• Maintain vehicle condition: inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment; perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
• Relay information to central dispatch.
• Perform tarping and other safety measures for cargo.

• Second (high) school graduation certificate.
• Minimum 2 to less than 3 years of truck driving experience.
• Driver's License (Class 1 or
  
  A) and valid manual transmission license.
• Ability to travel frequently; willing to travel extended periods, including overnight.
• Familiarity with bill of lading, inspection reports, maintenance and repair reports, and trip reports.
• Valid driver's license, driver’s validity licence check, criminal record check, and drug test required.

• On the road; may travel to various locations.
• Physically demanding; may lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• Shift work across all hours, including early morning, evening, night, weekends, and overtime.
