Logistics Data Entry Specialist

Spherion is now hiring Logistics Data Entry Specialists for a premier local logistics company with operations in Port Allen and Plaquemine, LA. If you have proven data entry experience, sharp administrative skills, and a strong work ethic, we want to hear from you.

Pay Rate: $18.75/hr.

• Days, Nights, Weekends!
• Monday
  - Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• 4 Days On / 4 Days Off: 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• 4 Nights On / 4 Nights Off: 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM
• Friday
  - Monday:
  Day and Night shifts available (weekend shifts)

• An interview is required.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must possess a current, professional resume.
• Testing
  
  Required:
  
  Candidates must successfully pass both Excel and Data Entry skills assessments to move forward in the hiring process.

• Driver & Gate Coordination:
  Check in arriving drivers and direct them appropriately to ensure timely loading and unloading.
• Documentation & Data Management:
  Generate accurate shipping and receiving documents, process customer orders, and perform heavy data entry across multiple system applications.
• Logistics Scheduling:
  Coordinate and schedule appointment times with carriers.
• Inventory & Reporting:
  Perform inventory reconciliation, run daily operational reports, and maintain organized files.
• Communication & Teamwork:
  Respond to emails in a timely, professional manner and collaborate closely with warehouse supervision and co-workers to ensure smooth shift hand-offs.
• Working hours:
  
  5:00 AM - 5:00 AM (Various Shifts Available)

• Multitasking & Organization:
  Managing the constant flow of incoming drivers, carrier appointments, customer orders, and emails simultaneously without dropping the ball.
• Thriving Under Pressure:
  Maintaining a high level of accuracy and intense attention to detail even when the warehouse gets fast-paced, hectic, or delayed.
• Teamwork & Communication:
  Collaborating clearly with warehouse supervisors and effectively handing off unfinished tasks to the incoming shift to keep operations smooth.

High School

1-4 years

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 1 year of related experience, preferably within a shipping/receiving, logistics, or structured office environment.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, and Access Database).
• Core Competencies:
  
  Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, a high level of accuracy under pressure, and excellent customer service capabilities.
