Truck Driver

Job Description

This position is responsible for all deliveries and pickups of rental equipment for Portable Power from customer dock locations and other NOV depot locations.

• Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle.
• Pick-up and safely transport equipment to the intended location.
• Ensure loads are properly secured to trailer.
• Communicate with transportation coordinator as needed.
• Confirm that the load matches the manifest document.
• Perform pre-inspections before each trip, check weather conditions and road reports before departure.
• Maintain, service and ensure vehicles are kept clean.
• Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues occur.
• Comply with all NOV US Driver Vehicle Policy and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Comply with NOV policies and use of ELD.
• Keep all NOV vehicle inspections current and good standing.
• Complete and turn in all paperwork in a timely manner.
• Work Weekends, Non-Standard hours, Overnight Travel and Long-Distance Travel.
• Class A-CDL with Hazmat Endorsement
• Must Pass and Maintain a USDOT Medical Examination and Drug and Alcohol testing.

• Perform all duties requested by the manager.
• Operate overhead crane & forklift.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

• Microsoft Knowledge – In order to keep up with email communications for deliveries and pickups.
• Good communication skills – In order to provide good customer service and meet customer deadlines as well as keep operations informed of all equipment movement.
• Operate Forklift & Overhead Crane – This is required to be able to ship and receive equipment.
• Class A-CDL with Hazmat Endorsement – Required by law to deliver equipment for NOV.
