Intracompany Driver – CDL A Driver

Pay: $18.00–$21.00 per hour

Are you ready to hit the road, earn competitive pay, and still be home every evening? Home Furniture is looking for a full-time CDL-A Intracompany Driver to join our team!

This position requires the ability to safely operate a 10-speed manual transmission 18-wheeler. Applicants must have at least 3 years of experience operating this type of vehicle.

The typical schedule is 4:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, although there may be times when the workday extends later.

As an Intracompany Driver, you'll transport furniture and merchandise between our Distribution Center and retail store locations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Safely operating a 10-speed manual transmission 18-wheeler
• Assisting with loading merchandise for transfer to our retail stores
• Transporting merchandise between company locations
• Picking up returns from retail stores
• Maintaining basic records of transfers and truck mileage
• Completing pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections
• Reporting mechanical or equipment concerns to your supervisor
• Keeping the truck body clean, organized, and free of clutter
• Working as part of a team to keep merchandise moving safely and efficiently

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• Valid CDL Class A license
• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating a 10-speed manual transmission 18-wheeler
• Ability to successfully complete a road test
• Commitment to safe and responsible driving
• Ability to work the required Tuesday–Saturday early-morning schedule
