Are you looking for a hands‑on driving position with consistent local routes? Join our carrier partner as a Dry Bulk Driver in Port Allen, LA!
Job Overview- Local routes within a 40-mile radius of Port Allen, LA
- Average 250 miles per day
- Hauling bulk powder cement, alumina, fly ash, and lime
- 6 days on, 1 day off rotation (weekend work required)
- Home daily
- $900-$1100 weekly
- Cement load/unload: $30 per dispatch
- Lime and alumina load/unload: $50 per dispatch
- Detention pay: $5 per quarter hour
- $1,500 referral bonus ($750 at hire, $750 at 90 days)
- 100% touch freight - hands‑on loading and unloading
- Assist with loading: climb trailer, flip lids, position hoses
- Offloading: connect 20-60 ft hoses, operate pneumatic blower
- Monitor gauges to ensure smooth product flow
- Valid CDL‑A license
- 6 months of recent verifiable tractor‑trailer experience OR 1 year within the past 3 years
- TWIC card (required)
- Physical ability to perform loading/unloading tasks
- Willingness to work weekends
