DC Team Member II - Outbound

Overview

Warehouse Associate II, Picker/Packer, Animal Health at Covetrus in Grimes, IA is responsible for fulfilling and shipping customer orders within a distribution center environment. The position offers a climate-controlled, small-team environment with limited weekend work.

• Meet established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the distribution center, including productivity, quality, safety, and attendance goals.
• Pull products accurately and efficiently for customer orders from stock, prioritizing items with the earliest expiration dates first.
• Carefully pack and prepare products for shipment using economical and safe packing methods.
• Compare products to customer invoices to ensure proper filling of orders (product size, strength, dating, unit of sale, quantities) and ensure products ship with accompanying literature or brochures. Verify product descriptions match the RF device.
• Ensure shipments comply with Department of Transportation regulations, including labeling, packaging, and logging of hazardous materials (including limited quantities). Maintain accurate manifests and select economical shipping methods.

• No work experience required. Must be at least 18 years old. Preference for 6 months of warehouse or production experience.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to work well with others and maintain a positive, respectful attitude in a fast-paced team environment with tight deadlines.
• Ability to read and understand English to read product descriptions, labels, shelves, and other product documents.
• Basic math skills to ensure accurate product quantities.
• Ability to operate or willingness to learn material handling equipment (order pickers, reach trucks, forklifts).

• Must be flexible to work mandatory overtime as needed to ensure timely customer delivery.
• Ability to lift and transport 30 pounds regularly and up to 50-70 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk on concrete for the duration of the shift and perform tasks that involve bending, stooping, and reaching.
