Shipping Receiving Clerk
KIK Consumer Products is looking for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of raw materials and finished goods throughout our warehouse and manufacturing facility.
What You’ll Do- Receive, inspect, and verify inbound shipments and prepare outbound shipments for customer orders and carrier pickups.
- Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shippers to rectify damages and shortages.
- Compare identifying information and counts, weights, or measures of items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Organize warehouse space, and resolve discrepancies with suppliers.
- Perform inventory transactions within the SAP system, complete physical inventories, and investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, segregation, and identification of pool chemicals and other hazardous materials in accordance with company procedures, OSHA, DOT, and environmental regulations.
- Complete shipping, receiving raw materials for BOM, and lot traceability documentation accurately and timely.
- Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and prepare items for shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with production, planning, transportation, warehouse coordinator, and warehouse teams to ensure material availability and on‑time customer deliveries.
- Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and participate in safety meetings, training programs, and inspections.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or forklift experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification.
- Strong computer skills and experience with inventory or warehouse management systems preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to read shipping documents, pick lists, bills of lading, and hazardous material documentation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Ability to frequently lift, move, push, or pull up to 40 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling throughout the shift.
- Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to work in warehouse and manufacturing environments with varying temperatures.
- Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, steel‑toed footwear, and respiratory protection when required.
