Position Description
We are currently seeking experienced lumber and material handlers for our Belle Chasse location. An ideal candidate would have forklift experience (not a forklift-only position).
Responsibilities- Receive and stock incoming materials
- Complete delivery work orders
- Handle customer material requests
- Load and unload materials on trucks
- Keep the yard and warehouse clean and orderly
Skills and Abilities
- Forklift experience
- Lumber yard experience (preferred)
- Detail-oriented and thorough
- Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used daily
- Ability to interact with customers, coworkers and visitors while remaining professional, polite and courteous
- Ability to work as a team
- Good communication skills
- Compliance with all safety policies and procedures
