SHIPPING AND RECEIVING CLERK

Full Time

Location:

Houma, La.

• Check in material, enter system, and proper labeling on materials (ex. Customer, Job, & Location)
• Notify of incorrect material to purchasing
• Operate forklift, trucks, and trailers
• Organize load outs
• Keep all tools, gang boxes, trailers up to date with service and in working order
• Keep shop, materials, and tool rooms organized & clean.
• Coordinate staging of project material and return of unused project material
• Manage paperwork associated with items mentioned above
• Coordinate with purchasing and line managers for pickups and drop offs
• Line up shop drivers for pickups and drop offs
• Self-sufficient, completing duties with minimum supervision

• 3-5 years of shipping/receiving experience.
• Previous forklift experience required. Forklift certification is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as by self without direct supervision.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Computer proficiency e.g. Word, Excel, & Outlook

• Strong initiative, initiative-taker, & self-thinker.
• Ability to perform under pressure.
• Ability to keep neat and accurate records.
• Multi-task orientation with skills related to work prioritization.
• Ability to work with a team and communicate with other functions.
