Warehouse Associate
Location: Geismar, LA
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule:Monday – Friday | 6 AM – 3 PM

Looking for Warehouse Associate jobs in Geismar where every day keeps products moving? This opportunity lets you support warehouse operations through picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory handling while helping ensure orders are completed safely and accurately.

Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, shipping documents, safety procedures, and warehouse instructions.
  • Basic computer skills required, including data entry and inventory tracking systems.
Experience Requirements
  • At least 1 year of warehouse, shipping, receiving, order picking, packing, or inventory experience preferred.
  • Previous forklift, pallet jack, or cherry picker experience is a plus; training will be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately verify orders and shipments.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing tasks independently.
  • Experience with inventory management systems or ERP software is beneficial.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and climb throughout the workday.
  • Comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse environment that may be hot during summer months.
  • Steel-toe shoes required; additional PPE provided by the company.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and work around moving machinery.
Job Duties
  • Pick, pack, verify, and prepare customer orders for shipment while maintaining high accuracy standards.
  • Receive, unload, inspect, and store incoming inventory and materials.
  • Cross-check orders, shipping documents, and inventory records to ensure accuracy.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks.
  • Assist with inventory counts, stock replenishment, and warehouse organization.
  • Enter and maintain accurate inventory and shipment data in warehouse systems.
  • Follow all warehouse safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Schedule:

    Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM with a one-hour unpaid lunch; occasional overtime required.
  • Temp-to-hire opportunity with potential pay increase upon permanent hire and participation in an on-call weekend rotation after conversion.

What You Will Do

As a Warehouse Associate you will receive, pick, pack, sort, stage, load, unload, and organize products throughout warehouse operations. You will verify inventory, prepare shipments, maintain accurate product locations, support order fulfillment, assist with inventory counts, and help ensure efficient warehouse operations while following established safety procedures.

The Warehouse Associate plays an important role in warehouse and distribution operations by helping products move efficiently from receiving through shipment. This position requires attention to detail, strong work habits, and the ability to perform a variety of warehouse responsibilities.

Successful Warehouse Associate candidates understand warehouse organization, inventory procedures, shipping processes, and safe material handling while supporting efficient daily operations. Reliable performance contributes directly to customer satisfaction.
