What You’ll Do

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for coordinating all incoming and outgoing mail, shipments and deliveries.

Day to Day Responsibilities (Limit to most important/top 10 duties if possible)
  • Notifies departments of receipts of goods, equipment, etc.
  • Maintains a clean, neat and well-organized work area.
  • Order, organize, maintain and stock coffee supplies.
  • Operate and maintain mail machine. Maintain adequate stock of supplies.
  • Prepare and distribute interoffice, bulk and standard mail pieces.
  • Oversees second floor copy machine at the Zoo.
  • Packs and loads merchandise, supplies and general packages for shipment.
  • Assists in management FEDEX account,

What We’re Looking For Must Haves: (required for the role)
  • High school diploma
  • Must have the ability to use mobile devices, computer, phone, and copy machine.
  • Must have the ability to operate a forklift.
Nice-to-Haves: (preferred for the role)

Physical Requirements:

1.Physical Demands:
  • Continuous standing, walking, lifting, bending, and twisting.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry objects weighing over 50 pounds, often repeatedly.
  • Regularly climbing ladders and operating heavy machinery.
  • Sustained manual dexterity and coordination.
  • Physical stamina for long shifts involving repetitive or strenuous tasks.

  • Frequent exposure to heat, cold, dust, fumes, or loud noises.
