Warehouse Associate - Construction Supply

Pay Rate: $16.00 - $18.00 / hour (based on experience)

A local construction supply company in Metairie, LA is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. In this role, you will perform general warehouse duties, operate material handling equipment, and accurately fulfill customer and project orders. Precision and attention to detail are critical when pulling inventory.

• Order Fulfillment: Accurately pull, pack, and stage construction supplies and materials based on pick sheets and customer orders.

• Forklift Operation: Safely operate both standing and seated forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack stock throughout the facility.

• Inventory Control: Assist with stock receiving, cycle counts, inventory tracking, and maintaining organized storage racks (inventory control experience is a strong plus).

• Material Handling: Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs unassisted (team lifts or mechanical assistance provided for loads exceeding 50 lbs).

• Facility Maintenance: Keep work areas, aisles, and loading docks clean, orderly, and compliant with safety guidelines.

  Hands-on experience operating both standing and seated forklifts is required.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs independently throughout the shift.

• Detail-Oriented: Demonstrated high accuracy rate when pulling and staging orders.

• Experience: Prior experience in warehouse logistics, construction supply, or inventory management preferred.
