Overview
Boulder Imaging is seeking a System Monitoring Technician to enhance Ident Flight customer care, system performance and system availability. The System Monitoring Technician will coordinate with and support Field Application Engineers in monitoring the global network of Identi Flight systems. The position involves the deployment and support of the tools the company uses to monitor the Identi Flight network, systems and applications.
The expectation is to enhance the timeliness of network analyses, events, and alerts using our innovative Dashboard and other monitoring tools.
- Perform routine system monitoring and basic troubleshooting tasks.
- Work closely with Field Application Engineers to identify and solve technical problems.
- Make changes and other corrective actions to the system according to the company’s needs and processes using tool sets, training, and documentation.
- Participating in the Professional Services Team in delivering new projects from installation to commissioning.
- Remotely support teams operating in the field.
- Document system status, updates, and outages in a timely manner.
- Assist in data processing and report generation.
- Ambitious, agile, and fast learner.
- Confidence to work independently and experienced enough to ask for help for efficiency.
- The ideal candidate will have system monitoring or application engineering support experience.
- Detail-oriented with strong pattern recognition ability.
- Ability to speak with customers in a professional atmosphere.
- Ability to contribute to the team’s flexible work shifts (nights and weekends as needed – rare).
- Approachable, enthusiastic, and collaborative.
- Interested in advanced technology and wind energy.
- Comfortable and confident in working in diverse computer programs and networks.
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
- Basic understanding of cyber security principles.
- Analytical thinker with accompanying troubleshooting skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Rigorous and effective documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment including impromptu problem solving.
- Travel to our sites is not anticipated; however, can be considered if the candidate demonstrates technical skills proficiency and expresses interest in expanded contributions.
- Associate’s degree in engineering, business, computer science or equivalent experience.
- 1-2 years of experience.
