Otak is a leading integrated planning, architecture, design, and project/construction management firm, recognized for our exceptional work and commitment to thoughtful, community-focused design. As an intern, youll work closely with engineers, architects, planners, and support staff who share a passion for practical problem-solving and mindful design.
This internship is up to 40 hours per week (minimum 24 hours or 3 days based on availability), is expected to last through the summer, and may extend beyond the start of the school year if schedules allow.
What youll do
* Perform design support related to roadways, trails, and site layout, including grading, drainage/stormwater, utilities, and erosion control, in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
* Assist with hydrologic and hydraulic analyses.
* Support the preparation of construction plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
* Assist with quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates.
* Apply AutoCAD and/or GIS skills to produce figures and supporting design documents.
* Support construction-phase services as needed.
What youll bring
* Current college junior, senior, or graduate-level student.
* Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D is a plus.
* Curiosity, initiative, and involvement beyond academics, including engagement in your local community.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salary is based upon candidate experience, qualifications, and work location as well as market and business considerations.
Salary range: $27-$29 per hour
