- Guide provisioning workflows (DHCP/TFTP/TOD, TLVs, security, certificates, PKI).
- Troubleshoot complex DOCSIS issues using Wireshark/tcpdump, CM logs, SNMP, and Linux debugging tools.
- Support customers during product definition, feature planning, and field issue reproduction.
- Collaborate with chipset vendors to debug interoperability, performance, and stability issues.
- Ensure firmware upgrade flows, secure boot, and certificate handling meet DOCSIS security requirements.
- Maintain lab documentation, test plans, and internal knowledge base.
- Provide roadmap input on DOCSIS features, standards evolution, and future CPE capabilities.

- Proven background designing or qualifying DOCSIS cable modems/gateways in an R&D environment.
- Solid understanding of embedded Linux, embedded C, and firmware architecture.
- Deep knowledge of DOCSIS provisioning: DHCP, TFTP, TOD, TLVs, config files, certificates/PKI.
- Strong debugging skills using Wireshark, tcpdump, SNMP, CM logs, gdb/strace.
- Networking fundamentals: IPv4/IPv6, NAT, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, SNMP.
- Experience working with chipset/SoC vendors (Broadcom, Max Linear, etc.).
- Ability to lead design decisions, mentor engineers, and translate vague requirements into clear plans.
