Resource Innovations is seeking an Energy Program Analyst or Energy Engineer to join our growing team in Louisville, Colorado. This entry‑ to mid‑level role is ideal for candidates early in their energy efficiency or engineering career.
Responsibilities Design Review & Quality Assurance (Design Assistance Program)- Review construction drawings and submittals to verify that energy‑efficient design features are accurately represented
- Compare design intent to program requirements and identify gaps or inconsistencies
- Document findings clearly for internal teams and clients
- Visit project sites to verify that installed systems match approved designs
- Confirm that high-performance features are installed and operational
- Take field notes, photos, and coordinate with contractors and project teams
- Meet with building owners, developers, and design teams
- Identify opportunities to improve building performance
- Provide practical, buildable recommendations based on real‑world construction knowledge
- Verify completed projects align with agreed‑upon scope
- Physical presence in the greater Denver, CO area
- Physically able to climb ladders & lift 25 lbs
- Must have reliable personal transportation
- Ability to read, interpret and describe construction drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail—comfortable comparing what's on drawings vs. what's in the field
- General understanding of building systems (HVAC, lighting, envelope, controls)
- Organized and able to manage multiple projects
- Must be authorized to work in the USA
- Experience with commercial building design or construction
- Familiarity with energy efficiency or utility programs (e.g., Xcel Energy programs)
- Exposure to energy modeling tools or building performance analysis
- Interest in sustainability, electrification, or high‑performance buildings
- BS in Engineering or Construction Management
Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on a candidate's skills, experience and qualifications. The compensation range for the base salary for this position is $60K - $85K, with potential eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus. Employees may also receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes three weeks of paid vacation annually, paid holidays, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, medical, dental and vision coverage, parental leave, an employee assistance program, commuter benefits, and additional supplemental offerings.
