Position: Engineer III, Systems Engineer
Location: Louisville, CO
Duration: 4+ Months contract
Total Hours/week: 40.00
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM w/OT as needed

This role is responsible for using broad technical expertise, leadership skills, and product development knowledge to provide Systems leadership throughout various phases of the product life cycle. System Engineering translates the voice of customer and stakeholder needs into system and product requirements, identifies potential hazards and ensures the product meets user/business needs, develops design and process specifications for new hardware and software products, aids in product verification and validation, and supports sustaining activities.
The Engineer III is expected to serve on smaller project core teams, lead technical excellence, and act as an agent for continuous improvement within the Systems Engineering function. The role involves identifying tasks/resources to ensure critical project milestones are met and systems integration activities are identified and fulfilled.
- Setup and implement Azure Dev Ops + Modern Requirements for the division
- Create training materials and train associates on Azure Dev Ops + Modern Requirements for the division
- Working knowledge of product development lifecycle
- Lead system/product-level feasibility and risk assessments
- Facilitate cross-functional knowledge and experiences to promote the understanding and resolution of in-market and product development issues
- Coordinate system-level product development and its integration
- Serve as a resource to examine system behavior issues and bring to resolution for on-market products
- Identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement efforts
- Apply DFSS best practices on all projects
- Expertise in Azure Dev Ops + Modern Requirements is a must
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering; a post graduate degree is desired
- At least 5 years of related work experience required (combination of work experience and advanced degrees)
- Ability to lead multi-discipline engineering teams
- Strong technical background within Systems Engineering, medical device development, or similar
- Experience with Systems Engineering and requirements management
- Familiar with systems integration and testing, system architectural planning and design, Reliability Engineering, Project Management, and Failure Modes & Effects Analysis
- DFSS knowledge and experience or statistical test design and analysis knowledge or Critical Parameter Management
- Excellent communication skills: interdepartmental (with fellow engineers) and cross-functional (with Marketing, Clinical Representatives, Software Engineers, Test Engineers, and Quality Engineers)
- Strong writing skills
- Attention to detail paramount
- Experience in continuous improvement projects/efforts
- Experience working within an agile environment is a plus
