Job Title
Manufacturing Engineer II
Position DescriptionDirect hire Manufacturing Engineer II position located in Louisville, CO.
Job Responsibilities- Develop and implement manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve manufacturing issues
- Drive continuous improvement and reliability across manufacturing operations
- Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize production processes and resolve technical issues
- Assist in the development and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
- Standardize operations and maintain quality through documented processes
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings to support manufacturing activities
- Analyze production data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
- Requires Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or physics (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).
- Typically 2+ years of related experience.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing principles and practices, engineering techniques and methodologies.
- Proficiency in CAD software (ex: NX).
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in process improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience in conducting process validation and verification tasks.
- Basic knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
- Proficiency reading technical manuals and schematics.
- Knowledge of equipment calibration and testing procedures.
- Advanced degree in aerospace, mechanical, manufacturing engineering, or a related discipline.
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Proven track record in a space or aerospace manufacturing setting.
- In‑depth understanding of spacecraft subsystems, including structures, mechanisms, avionics, propulsion, and high‑pressure systems.
- Demonstrated ability to create and implement processes from the ground up, with strong communication skills to engage a diverse team.
- Successful introduction of new aerospace hardware systems into manufacturing, testing, and production environments.
- Experience in implementing AS9100 quality standards.
- Proficiency in onboarding MES, PLM, and ERP systems.
- Job Type: Direct Hire.
- Pay Range: $87,663- $120,558.
