Project Engineer III

• Lead and execute technical projects
• Ensure successful integration of engineering solutions
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects
• Balance technical, cost, and schedule constraints
• Provide technical estimation support and develop Basis of Estimates
• Conduct trade studies and lead technical evaluations
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Develop and manage Statements of Work
• Coordinate with contracts and quality teams
• Support Risk and Opportunity management
• Communicate and coordinate across engineering and functional teams
• Communicate project status to technical and programmatic audiences
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team
• Serve as a bridge between Engineering and Program offices
• Resolve conflicts and represent stakeholders, support functions, and customers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree, or Master's degree plus 3 years of experience
• Typically 5+ years of related experience
• Strong technical foundation for project/programmatic skills
• Ability to lead small cross-functional teams and projects
• Advanced technical knowledge and expertise in the relevant engineering discipline
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• General knowledge of two or more functional disciplines outside of engineering
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of risk and opportunity management
• Expertise in communicating and coordinating across engineering and functional teams
• Clear verbal and written communication of technical concepts, plans, and actions
• PMP certification (preferred)
• Experience with systems engineering and integration (preferred)
• Proficiency in project management software and tools such as MS Project and Primavera (preferred)
• Experience with CAD software and engineering design tools (preferred)
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (preferred)
• Experience in product lifecycle management (PLM) (preferred)
• Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies (preferred)
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously (preferred)
• Experience developing and managing project budgets (preferred)
