We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Software QA Engineer to support testing efforts for electromechanical medical device software. This role focuses on software verification and validation (V&V), manual testing, and automation support in a regulated environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in software testing principles, collaborates effectively with development teams, and demonstrates a strong commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities- Support software testing activities for electromechanical medical devices
. - Analyze system and software requirements to develop comprehensive test cases and test plans
. - Perform manual testing including:
- Dry runs
- Integration testing
- Regression testing
- Identify, document, and track software defects.
- Develop and maintain automated test cases
. - Collaborate closely with software developers and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality releases.
- Prepare and maintain detailed test documentation and reports
. - Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and test strategies.
- Computer Science
- Electrical Engineering
- Software Engineering
- Or a related technical field
- 2–6 years of experience in software testing.
- Experience with manual testing and exposure to test automation
. - Strong understanding of software verification and validation concepts.
- Experience developing automated tests using Python and/or LabVIEW
. - Background in embedded systems testing
. - Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Dev Ops or similar test management tools.
- Experience working in a regulated or medical device environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Team-oriented and collaborative mindset.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
