Lakeshore Talent is in search of an IT Support Specialist to join a growing and innovative organization on a temporary basis, with the potential for contract-to-hire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who can start ASAP and is eager to provide hands‑on technical support while gaining valuable experience in a fast‑paced IT environment.
Job Title:IT Support Specialist
Pay Rate:$27–$30 per hour
Schedule:Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Location:In‑office to start, with potential for hybrid flexibility
Parking:Available
Start Date:ASAP
Contract Length:Approximately 2 months (while a longer‑term contract‑to‑hire search is conducted)
Reporting To:IT Director
Position OverviewThe immediate need is for someone who can step in quickly to assist with day‑to‑day technical support and ticket resolution. While this is intended as a temporary assignment, there is potential for the right candidate to be considered for the longer‑term contract‑to‑hire opportunity.
This position plays a key role in maintaining technology infrastructure, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365 support and foundational security practices. You will support end users across the organization and contribute to ongoing IT initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Technical Support- Provide technical support to end users across the organization
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
- Set up and configure workstations, peripherals, and mobile devices
- Assist with user account management in Microsoft 365
- Support users with Microsoft 365 applications and services
- Assist with basic administrative tasks within the Microsoft 365 environment
- Support email configuration, SharePoint access, and Teams setup
- Help create and maintain documentation related to Microsoft 365 tools
- Assist with implementing basic security measures following established protocols
- Support security awareness initiatives for end users
- Monitor and report potential security incidents to senior team members
- Maintain security‑related documentation
- Assist with basic network troubleshooting and monitoring
- Support installation and configuration of network equipment
- Help maintain network documentation and inventory
- Participate in IT projects under senior team guidance
- Assist with testing new technologies and solutions
- Support data collection, reporting, and user adoption efforts
Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and services
- Knowledge of standard computing systems and common business software
- Understanding of basic cybersecurity principles and best practices
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Clear verbal and written communication
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users
