About the Role

The Sr Master Scheduler at Sierra Space will play a critical role in orchestrating the production schedule and ensuring that materials are available to meet production demands. This position requires extensive experience in demand and supply planning, advanced computer skills, and the ability to lead and influence strategic planning meetings. The Sr Master Scheduler's expertise will be essential in maintaining an efficient and effective production workflow.

In this role, you will develop, maintain, and communicate the master production schedule to ensure alignment with demand and supply requirements. You will utilize SAP or ERP/MRP scheduling tools to manage and optimize the production schedule and participate in Sales and Operations Planning (S&O) meetings, facilitating cross‑functional collaboration to align production plans with business goals. By analyzing demand and supply data, you will create accurate production forecasts and schedules while implementing and refining demand/supply planning processes to enhance efficiency and responsiveness.

Using advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Excel and MS Project, you will generate reports and perform data analysis to support decision‑making. You will communicate effectively with various stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on scheduling and production status. Additionally, you will apply problem‑solving skills to identify and address scheduling conflicts, material shortages, and other production issues. Lastly, you will maintain accurate scheduling records and ensure data integrity within scheduling tools.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience and/or APICS or Lean Six Sigma certification may be considered in lieu of degree).
  • Typically 6+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Excel, SQL & MS Project.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Comfortable interfacing with and presenting to senior leadership.
  • Experience implementing demand/supply planning (S&O), SAP, and ERP/MRP scheduling tools.
  • Proven track record of successful master scheduling in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in managing complex scheduling data.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Proficiency in using scheduling and planning software tools to drive efficiency and accuracy.
