About H3X Technologies
H3X is building America's advanced electric motor company, powering next-generation platforms in aerospace, defense, and marine. Our integrated motor drives deliver 12+ kW/kg, roughly 3x the power density of competing solutions. We're now scaling to megawatt-class systems, with customers working on everything from supersonic aircraft to turbine power generation for AI datacenters.
Our team brings together engineers and operators from aerospace, defense, and motorsports, with deep expertise in electric machines, power electronics, material science, and advanced manufacturing. We're a small, fast-moving team doing hard engineering that matters, and we're looking for people who want to do the best work of their careers alongside us.
About the roleOur team at H3X looking for a Sr. Procurement Specialist to execute day-to-day purchasing as we scale our manufacturing and introduce multiple new products. You will place and manage POs with approved suppliers, keep our supplier data current and reliable, and work on forecasting and supplier performance. This role is a great fit for someone who's detail-oriented, proactive by nature, and wants to grow into a broader supply chain or category management career as the function matures.
You are a strong fit if you've worked in procurement or buying for a complex, low/mid-volume manufacturer, you take ownership of accuracy and follow-through, and you like the idea of helping shape processes (forecasting models, category management, supplier KPIs) rather than just executing against them.
What you will do:Purchasing Execution
Place POs with approved suppliers for needed parts, maintaining a proactive rather than reactive posture on lead times and material availability
Own the overall accuracy and reliability of PO data, quantities, pricing, dates, and terms
Track deliveries against POs and follow up with suppliers to keep orders on schedule
Maintain and continuously update the supplier database, including onboarding new suppliers
Ensure supplier certifications and NDAs are current and properly tracked
Assist in maintaining supplier relationships & partnerships
Actively participate in building out a Supplier KPI database to track and improve supplier performance
Develop forecasting models together for distribution to key suppliers
Support long-term planning efforts by keeping PO and supplier data organized and accessible
Flag supply risks
Coordinate with other team members across manufacturing engineering, production, and others
Work with Leadership to support cash flow planning based on PO data and timing
Contribute to the development of category management as the supply chain function matures (e.g., Power Electronics, Electromagnetics, and other key commodity areas)
Partner with engineering, production, and inventory teams as needed to keep purchasing aligned with real-time needs
Provide monthly reporting on purchasing activity, supplier performance, and open risks
5+ years of experience in buying, procurement, or purchasing, ideally in complex mechanical, electromechanical, or electronics manufacturing
Strong attention to detail and a track record of maintaining accurate, reliable purchasing data
Experience managing supplier relationships and tracking supplier documentation (certifications, NDAs, etc.)
Comfortable working with ERP/MRP systems for PO issuance and tracking
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with finance, engineering, and operations
A proactive mindset, comfortable flagging risk early rather than waiting for it to become urgent
Experience with Manufacturo or similar ERP/MRP platforms
Exposure to forecasting or demand planning processes
Familiarity with electronics or electromechanical component categories (e.g., power electronics, electromagnetics)
Salary Compensation Range: $88,000 - $120,000
