About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician III to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on building infrastructure and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety. You will play a key part in troubleshooting issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This position also involves maintaining accurate documentation, responding to maintenance requests, and supporting the development and implementation of facility management strategies.
The key responsibilities for this role include conducting regular inspections of building systems and equipment to identify and address issues, as well as performing preventative maintenance on infrastructure systems such as HVAC, air compressors, air dryers, fire alarms, sprinkler systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and more. The role also involves troubleshooting equipment issues, performing preventive maintenance, and repairing minor faults to minimize downtime.
Promptly responding to maintenance requests is essential, which may include tasks like replacing light bulbs, plumbing repairs, wall repairs, and other manufacturing or facility-related duties. Accurate record-keeping of maintenance activities, equipment documentation, and service requests is required, along with ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company protocols. Collaboration with team members and other departments is vital to ensure efficient facility operations.
Additional responsibilities include assisting with equipment moves by properly disconnecting and reconnecting infrastructure systems such as air, water, GN2, and electrical, as well as procuring maintenance supplies and equipment as needed. The role also supports the development and implementation of facility management plans and strategies. Obtaining and maintaining necessary security clearance for work in SCIF environments is required, and the ability to move between multiple facilities within the North and South Denver Colorado Sierra Space campuses is essential.

Minimum Qualifications- Typically, 4+ years of related experience.
- Experience in equipment maintenance, with a focus on diagnosing and repairing complex equipment.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance is required.
- Trade school degree in HVAC, Electrical or Electro‑mechanical + 2 years' experience.
- Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Electronic work order system.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft business applications.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting and basic repair techniques to find root causes to the breakdowns or failures.
- Certification in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical systems.
- Experience with Building Automation systems.
