Senior Project Managers are project leaders who operate with a high level of autonomy, professionalism, and expertise. SPMs manage client relationships, deliver high-quality services, and oversee other Leadline staff and subcontractors. Responsibilities for this role include, but aren’t limited to, the following:

PROJECT LEADERSHIP Day-to-day project responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of assigned projects include scope, budget, timeline, and client relationships
  • Maintain or delegate accurate/up-to-date project timelines in , anticipate timeline issues and propose solutions
  • Track project budgets in Harvest, anticipate budget issues and propose solutions
  • Manage or delegate sub-contractor(s) contracts, scope, and budget
  • Prepare invoices for responsible projects and confirm accuracy of charges, write descriptions as necessary, and prepare invoices for review
  • Maintain or delegate clean file storage and accurate Harvest accounts
Strategic project responsibilities
  • Onboard new projects and develop the design and strategy for the project
  • Consistently evaluate project scopes to be meeting client needs, of appropriate quality, and within budget
  • Use judgment and experience to make a recommendation and/or produce deliverables up to 95% completion and ask for strategic, specific feedback as needed
  • Manages day-to-day client relationships by communicating with confidence and professionalism to clients and accurately interpreting and solving client needs
  • Appropriately elevates client issues and difficult interactions as needed
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT
  • Participate in writing proposals and sourcing new business opportunities
  • Review proposals written by others for continuity
  • Research opportunities, competitors, and background information to develop proposals
  • In some cases, leads the proposal development phase including scope, budget, and timeline creation
LEADLINE SUPPORT
  • Proactively evaluate, suggest, and incorporate process improvements for Leadline
  • Positively represent Leadline in professional settings
  • Support, collaborate, and be a solution-oriented team player with Leadline colleagues
  • Participate in training as needed
Qualifications
  • 8–12+ years of progressive experience in consulting or as a government leader managing large programs, projects, and/or teams
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to design project approaches, refine scopes, and ensure alignment between client needs and deliverables
  • Demonstrated experience leading full project life cycles, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and client relationship ownership
  • Proven ability to manage project financials, including budget tracking, forecasting, invoicing, and subcontractor oversight
  • Advanced visual and written communication skills; ability to build compelling presentations and reports that synthesize analysis into clear recommendations
  • Confident and professional client presence with the ability to manage day-to-day client relationships independently
  • Strong decision-making skills with sound judgment under ambiguity and changing priorities
  • Ability to operate with autonomy while knowing when to appropriately elevate risks or strategic questions
  • Comfortable leading complex, fast-paced work streams with multiple stakeholders and evolving priorities
  • Service-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality, client-centered outcomes
