Operations Manager
This job is 100% in-office at our Louisville, CO location.
What We Are Looking ForBDI is seeking a Supply Chain & Inventory Manager to own purchasing, inventory control, and material flow across our production operation. This role ensures materials are available to support production, inventory is accurate and financially sound, and operational issues are resolved quickly and permanently. The position works closely with Production, Accounting, and external vendors to keep the business moving without surprises.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Manage purchasing and inventory to support production schedules and operational demand.
- Track purchase orders, confirmations, backorders, and delivery timing with vendors.
- Oversee receiving activities and investigate quantity or cost discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory across raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
- Support manufacturing operations by validating work order costs and resolving costing issues.
- Ensure labor and material costs post correctly in inventory and production systems.
- Partner with Accounting to support accurate inventory valuation and financial reporting.
- Monitor inventory levels and trigger corrective actions when issues arise.
- Drive continuous improvement in supply chain, inventory, and receiving processes.
- Use ERP systems to maintain data accuracy and operational visibility.
- May provide functional guidance to production, warehouse, or inventory staff.
- Perform job in accordance with all BDI safety practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experienced in supply chain, purchasing, inventory control, or manufacturing operations.
- Experienced in strong cross-functional communication with Production and Finance.
- Comfortable working in ERP systems and resolving data, cost, and process issues.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning problems end-to-end.
- Able to take high ownership of the role with direct operational impact.
- Able to stabilize and improve core operational processes.
- Willing to be hands-on in a production and warehouse environment.
- Willing to work in a tight-knit, execution-focused environment.
- 5-8 years in supply chain, inventory management, purchasing, or manufacturing operations.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field. Equivalent experience acceptable in lieu of degree.
- Able to perform in a stationary position for 85% of the time.
- Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
Starting Salary: $80,000 - $115,000 per year, dependent on experience.
