Solid Power is seeking a 1st Shift Production Operator to join our talented team working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of next-generation , all solid-state rechargeable batteries.
Key Responsibilities- Operate automated and semi-automated machinery.
- Follow detailed instructions, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
- Setup, operate, and maintain specialized production equipment including calenders, stamping dies, ultrasonic welders, and other industry specific automated equipment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and work safely with hazardous materials. Maintain workspace cleanliness in highly trafficked work spaces. Follow appropriate 5S practices.
- Utilize a methodical approach to problem solving, both independently and as a team, to recognize and implement solutions during production runs and through the manufacturing process.
- Ensure product quality specifications are appropriately evaluated and maintained throughout production.
- Complete and verify production documentation is filled out completely and accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following 5S standards.
- Participate in 5S activities, audits, and continuous improvement efforts to maintain workplace organization and efficiency.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years' experience in a lab or manufacturing environment. (Dry-room/Clean-room experience is a plus)
- Hands-on experience working with hazardous materials, dry powder processes, and wet chemical/slurry and solvent-based operations.
- Rapid learner with attention to detail who thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Preference for experience operating and maintaining semi-automated machinery.
- Experience using PLC controlled robotics a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with Microsoft software (Excel, Teams, Outlook etc.) is preferred.
- Availability to work 1st shift 5:30 am to 4:00 pm Tuesday - Friday
- Most working hours will be spent on the production floor.
- Ability to lift 50lbs daily.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary including, but not limited to safety shoes, eye protection, hair net, gloves, face mask, coveralls, full-face respirator or PAPR.
- Hourly Range: $24.00-$30.00/hour
