- Ensure efficient and timely procurement of materials to support production schedules
- Optimize inventory levels and minimize costs
- Perform material planning for challenging programs
- Train junior team members
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and engineering to align material planning with production schedules and project requirements
- Use ERP, MRP, Excel, and SQL to manage and analyze material requirements, inventory levels, and procurement activities
- Identify and lead systems and process enhancement projects
- Monitor and analyze material usage, lead times, and supplier performance
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely material delivery
- Resolve quality, delivery, and pricing issues
- Prepare and present material planning and inventory performance reports to management
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree, or Master's degree plus 3 years of experience
- Typically 5+ years of related experience
- Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing and implementing demand scheduling tools
- Highly skilled with ERP, MRP, Excel, and SQL
- Material Planning experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably Aerospace or Automotive
- Ability to identify and implement new processes and system enhancements
- Familiarity with engineering, procurement, and production workflows
- Familiarity with end-to-end IT architecture supporting engineering, procurement, and production processes
Demonstrates expertise in material planning and inventory management within manufacturing environments, utilizing ERP, MRP, Excel, and SQL for data analysis and process optimization. Proven ability to enhance systems and processes while collaborating across production, procurement, and engineering teams.
