Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is a local, independent, and physician-owned medical group with over 20 primary and specialty care departments, 90 providers, and 325+ clinical and support professionals. Since our founding by 10 physicians in 1949, we have grown and evolved to meet the needs of Boulder County and beyond. We currently have clinics located in Boulder (2 locations), Louisville, Longmont, and Erie.
Job SummaryThis position is full-time (40 hours per week), benefit eligible, with clinic call located at our BMC Louisville location (80 Health Park Dr., Suites 100 & 200, Louisville, CO 80027).
The APP will join a team of well-established Family Medicine clinicians, serving a diverse patient population from newborns to geriatric patients. Responsibilities include managing a wide range of clinical duties—from cancer screenings and routine physical exams/annual checkups to comprehensive management of chronic disease, preventive care, and geriatric care. Responsibilities(Job Perks & Responsibilities)
- Performs a comprehensive health assessment, including health history and physical exams, preventive screening, and identification of medical risks and needs.
- Formulates appropriate physical diagnoses based on clinical evaluation.
- Performs, orders, and/or interprets diagnostic studies within the scope of practice.
- Documents clinical information in the patient s chart promptly and ensures charges are submitted accurately and timely.
- Performs advanced technical procedures within the scope of clinical practice.
- Plans and implements therapeutic regimens, including prescription of medications; maintains prescriptive authority per regulatory requirements.
- Establishes systematic follow-up, evaluates the plan of care, and reassesses/modifies the plan as needed, including referrals/consultations with BMC physicians and other providers.
- Provides patient and family education to support illness/wellness plans at home.
- Provides direction to Medical Assistants supporting the APP in the clinic.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) curriculum
- Active Colorado State License and DEA licensure
- 1-3 years of experience in practice, preferably in Family Medicine
- Boulder, CO
- $105k+ annually; depending on experience and education
