The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector, Electrical to serve as the primary electrical quality inspector supporting receiving, in-process, and final inspections of electronic hardware. This individual will ensure that PCBAs, circuit boards, harnesses, cable assemblies, and related hardware meet IPC, aerospace, customer, and internal quality requirements before progressing through manufacturing and delivery.

The ideal candidate is highly meticulous, technically proficient in electronics inspection, and capable of clearly documenting and communicating nonconformances while maintaining strong ownership of quality outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed receiving, in-process, and final inspections of PCBs, PCBAs, wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electrical hardware to IPC Class 3 standards.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and supplemental documentation to verify product compliance.
  • Verify supplier end-item data packages, including Certificates of Conformance (CoCs), as-built BOMs, electrical test reports, traceability records, X-rays, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Navigate Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to execute inspections, document results, process hardware through inspection workflows, and generate nonconformance reports.
  • Identify, document, and disposition nonconformances through detailed written descriptions, photographs, and supporting evidence.
  • Segregate suspect material and initiate supplier corrective action requests (SCARs) as required.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure full material traceability in accordance with AS9100 and customer requirements.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Inventory, and Logistics teams to resolve quality discrepancies and support production priorities.
  • Participate in daily production planning meetings to coordinate inspection priorities and hardware flow.
  • Support internal, customer, and external audits.
  • Maintain and support calibrated inspection tools, equipment, and associated processes.
  • Occasionally travel to supplier facilities and board houses to support inspections, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • 6+ years of quality inspection experience within a regulated industry such as aerospace, defense, electronics manufacturing, robotics, medical devices, or automotive.
  • Current IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 certification required.
  • Strong experience inspecting PCBAs, electronic assemblies, cable assemblies, harnesses, and electromechanical hardware.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, workmanship standards, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Experience writing detailed Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) with supporting evidence and photographic documentation.
  • Familiarity with supplier documentation packages, traceability requirements, Certificates of Conformance, and manufacturing records.
  • Experience using Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or similar quality/manufacturing software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate quality concerns.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items over 40 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail, ownership, and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • IPC-A-600 certification.
  • Aerospace or satellite manufacturing experience.
  • Class 3 inspection experience in high-reliability environments.
