The Safety Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Louisville, CO. This role oversees workplace health and safety programs, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal standards across manufacturing and facility operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting safety audits and inspections, identifying hazards, recommending corrective actions, and monitoring implementation. The Safety Specialist will lead and support safety training, maintain safety documentation, and coordinate incident and accident investigations to determine root causes and preventive measures.
This position collaborates closely with operations, quality, and leadership teams to promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated expertise in Health & Safety and Occupational Health practices in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience managing Environment Health and Safety (EHS) programs, including regulatory compliance and risk assessment.
- Proficiency in Safety Training development and delivery for diverse teams and shifts.
- Hands-on experience with Accident Investigation, incident reporting, and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of relevant OSHA and local safety regulations and standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence safety behaviors at all levels.
- Ability to work on-site in Louisville, CO and to be present on the production floor as needed.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Professional safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, CSP, or similar) are a plus.
