The Role

We are seeking a Part-Time Sensory Panel Assistant to support sensory projects at Danone’s sensory facility in Louisville, CO. You’ll work closely with MMR’s sensory team, the sensory panel, and Danone’s User Experience (UX) team to help daily sessions run smoothly, including sample preparation, product procurement, lab organization, and day-to-day sensory lab operations.

This role reports to the on-site MMR Sensory Manager and includes a structured onboarding and training period, with hands‑on integration alongside Danone’s UX team.

Schedule: 4 days per week, 5-6 hours per day, 44 working weeks per year (aligned with panel schedule which runs Monday through Wednesday 10am-12pm)

Compensation: $25/hour, eligible for standard MMR benefits as applicable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, store, prepare, serve, and clean up samples and materials for daily sensory panel sessions.
  • Purchase products and supplies needed for sensory testing, including visiting local stores to source items as required.
  • Take ownership of the sensory kitchen and testing areas by keeping them organized, stocked, clean, and ready for daily panel sessions.
  • Support sensory data collection by setting up projects in Red Jade software (full training provided).
  • Follow clear testing instructions and research guidelines to prepare samples and support different types of sensory evaluations.
  • Own the setup, reset, and readiness of sensory booths, workstations, materials, and shared lab spaces before and after sessions.
  • Follow food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene guidelines at all times (training provided).
  • Assist with recruiting and onboarding new panelists by owning the preparation for screening tests and session materials.
  • Maintain and update kitchen and lab procedures, proactively identifying opportunities to improve organization, workflow, and consistency.
  • Provide administrative support to the sensory and UX teams, including scheduling, timesheets, and updating participant databases.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused work environment and collaborate closely with MMR and Danone sensory and UX partners.
Requirements/qualifications:
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting, with the job consisting of long periods of time on your feet and in a lab setting.
  • Degree or certification in Food Science or hands‑on lab/food service experience preferred
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook); training provided
  • Eligibility to work in the US; experience with HR/payroll processes a plus.
  • Able to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
