Position: Mental Health Tech-Day Shift-Full-Time

Responsibilities

The Mental Health Tech (MHT) creates a safe environment for patients, observes and records patient information pertinent to the treatment plan, and reports this information to the nursing team. MHT saves lives when necessary, provides hope, empowers patients, and teaches new tools for coping. Primary responsibilities include providing a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, individual/family education groups, and activities of daily living.

This role provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Employees are committed to making every interaction positive through dedication to Service Excellence. Shift Hours

Day Shift: 8‑hour shifts from 7am to 3:30pm.

2 weekend shifts (4 monthly) per pay period required.

Shift differentials:
Weekend Day (Sat‑Sun) $2/hr, Evening (Mon‑Thurs) $3.25/hr, Weekend Evening (Fri‑Sun) $5.00/hr, Night (Mon‑Thurs) $5.00/hr, Weekend Night (Fri‑Sun) $7.00/hr must work three and a half hours into a shift to qualify.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • One‑year experience working with a psychiatric patient population preferred.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric group processes, therapeutic relationship processes, age‑specific growth and development, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management with aggressive behaviors, and CPR training preferred or ability to learn.
