Mental Health Tech-Full Time-Evening Shift

Centennial Peaks Hospital has been providing psychiatric services to the Denver‑metro area for more than 30 years. Located in Louisville, CO, our 104‑bed facility offers a peaceful setting for patients seeking treatment for mental illness, including chemical dependency. The Mental Health Tech creates a safe environment for patients, observes and records patient information pertinent to the treatment plan, and reports this information to the nursing team. This role provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse and includes crisis intervention, individual/family education groups, and activities of daily living.

Shift

Hours:

Eve Shift: 3pm - 11:30pm. Each shift is expected to help with alternating weekends, with 2 weekend shifts (4 monthly) per pay period REQUIRED.

Retention Agreement: Up to a $4,000 Retention agreement for one year commitment.

Shift Differentials: Weekend Day (Sat-Sun) $2/hr, Evening (Mon-Thurs) $3.25/hr, Weekend Evening (Fri-Sun) $5.00/hr, Night (Mon-Thurs) $5.00/hr, Weekend Night (Fri-Sun) $7.00/hr must work three and a half hours (3.5 hours) into a shift to qualify.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One‑year experience working with a psychiatric patient population preferred.
• Knowledge of psychiatric group processes, therapeutic relationships, age‑specific growth and development, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management with aggressive behaviors, and CPR training preferred or ability to learn.
