Applications Developer II

The Applications Developer II is responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications that support various business functions. This role requires a strong understanding of software development principles and the ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality software solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining software applications to support business functions.
• Writing clean, scalable, and efficient code while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Conducting unit testing, debugging, and participating in code reviews to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Utilizing version control systems such as Git to manage the codebase and track changes.
• Documenting software designs, code, and processes for future reference and maintenance.
• Staying updated with industry trends and technologies to keep software current and competitive.
• Independently designing and implementing software solutions and performing debugging and testing.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Typically 2+ years of related experience.
• Proficiency in at least two programming languages and familiarity with development frameworks.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience with designing and implementing software solutions independently.
• Experience debugging and testing.

• Experience with SQL Server or other relational database management systems (RDBMS).
• MS Access database development and VBA programming experience.
• Web application development experience.
• Power BI report development and data visualization methods.
• Experience with database ETL processes and data integration.
• Familiarity with engineering programming languages (Python, MATLAB, VBA).
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of database management systems and SQL.
• Familiarity with development frameworks such as Spring, Django, .NET, React, or Angular.
• Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and best practices.

Pay Range: $89,016.00 - $

Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on job‑related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity, and market competitiveness.

To conform to U.S. Government international trade regulations, the applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce.
