Under the close supervision of experienced professionals, you’ll undertake a range of responsibilities typically associated with staff accountants. These include:

• Financial statement preparation
• Auditing
• Tax preparation
• Understanding tax law intricacies
• This internship is designed to offer you meaningful exposure to the field while providing a supportive environment for your growth and development.

• Portions of audit and accounting engagements
• Preparation of some business and personal tax returns
• Other tasks assigned by supervisor
• Complete tasks on a timely basis
• Identify problem areas in the engagement for discussion with a supervisor
• Develop effective written and oral communication skills
• Recognize the impact of assigned tasks on the final work product
• Stay current on professional pronouncements such as SFAS, SAS, GAAS
• Follow regulations and professional ethics of the AICPA and state societies
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
