Senior Accountant

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year. Flexible work arrangements. Permanent position in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment.

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our Accounting + Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions, and will support the company’s financial future with significant opportunities for career progression.

• Preparing and recording asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Maintaining and balancing subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintaining the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
• Summarizing financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial statements.
• Completing external audits by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information to auditors.
• Ensuring compliance with legal requirements to avoid legal challenges.
• Securing financial information through database backups.
• Maintaining confidentiality of organizational financial information.
• Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and engaging in professional organizations.
• Implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning.
• Performing ad‑hoc analysis and presenting results clearly.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial planning software.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger functions and the month‑end/year‑end close process.
• Hands‑on experience with accounting software packages such as Fresh Books and Quick Books.
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
• Proven experience with financial statement preparation and general ledger functions.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
