Job Summary
Part‑Time Accounting Specialist
We are seeking a self‑motivated, detail‑oriented accounting professional to join our team as a Part‑Time Accounting Specialist. This is an in‑person position, approximately 20–25 hours per week, supporting the accounting needs of multiple companies.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the full accounting cycle, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and financial statements. Because this position supports multiple companies, the ability to quickly switch gears, stay organized, and manage changing priorities is essential.
This is a hands‑on position with a significant amount of bookkeeping and transaction processing. The successful candidate will work with guidance and supervision but should be able to complete assigned responsibilities independently and accurately.
This position has the potential to grow into a full‑time opportunity as responsibilities and business needs increase.
Job Responsibilities- Provide bookkeeping and accounting support for multiple companies
- Assist with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Enter and maintain financial transactions and accounting records
- Perform bank, credit card, and other account reconciliations
- Assist with monthly closing and financial reporting
- Record and review journal entries
- Review transactions for accuracy and research discrepancies
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and employees as needed
- Assist the accounting team with additional responsibilities as needed
- Minimum of 1 year of professional accounting experience
- Understanding of the full accounting cycle and ability to read financial statements
- Knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP
- Required:
Experience with Quick Books Desktop - Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to quickly transition between multiple companies, tasks, and priorities
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
- Dependable, willing to learn, and receptive to feedback
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
- Must be available to work in person approximately 20–25 hours per week

We are looking for someone who understands accounting beyond simply entering transactions and can recognize when something doesn’t look right. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, dependable, and comfortable working in an environment where priorities can change quickly.
Aviation Experience Is a Plus, But Not Required.Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
