A publicly traded company is looking for an Accountant, t his role plays a key part in the accounting close cycle and the preparation of accurate and timely property-level financial statements. The Accountant will be responsible for month-end close processes, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.

This position offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with operations, finance, and asset management teams while supporting ongoing process improvement initiatives.

• Consolidate and analyze accounting results for assigned property portfolios.

• Prepare month-end close deliverables, including journal entries, balance sheet and bank reconciliations, and variance analysis.

• Ensure financial statements are accurate and in compliance with GAAP.

• Interpret management and lease agreements to determine appropriate accounting treatment.

• Support internal control procedures and ensure adherence to company policies.

• Collaborate with FP&A, Asset Management, and third-party operators to analyze and communicate financial results.

• Assist with external reporting, audits, and integration of new or transitioning properties.

• Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.

• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in real estate, property, or portfolio accounting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint;
  Yardi experience a plus.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
