JOB SUMMARY:
The Accounts Receivable Assistant – Billing is responsible for providing accounting and clerical support to the Accounting Department personnel.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:The employee in this position will have the following essential job functions:
- Handles all aspects of billing for students sponsored by third party payers
- Assists with monthly Program Fee billing
- Analyzes and reconciles general ledger accounts to subsidiary records
- Assists with the preparation and mailing of monthly statements to Seminary constituents
- Provides support in answering student account questions, especially during times surrounding tuition payment due dates
- Completes monthly account reconciliations
- Provides back-up for other accounting positions as needed
Performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION:The person in this position should have a minimum of a high school diploma.
EXPERIENCE:The person in this position is required to have at least two years of previous work experience related to customer service, accounting or accounts receivable. Secretarial experience is also preferred. The person in this position should also have strong Word and Excel skills.
SUPERVISION:The person in this position will supervise no one.
The person in this position will report to the Bursar.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:The person in this position will work in a typical office environment.
