Essential Functions
- Greets the public and directs them to office locations for service or assistance, and answers telephone, takes messages and routes calls.
- Operates office equipment.
- Tracks equipment, supplies and materials, and prepares status reports.
- Maintains and orders supplies and equipment.
- Records MIW’s, arrest, citations, JC3’s, missing persons and CIT reports.
- Collects, sorts and delivers mail, packages and supplies.
- Prepares and submits work orders for the designated facility.
- Contacts citizens to engage and follow-up regarding questions, concerns, and issues.
- Assists Command Staff and Officers with various orders, reports and requests for community events.
- Performs related work.
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Six months of clerical experience
- an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Must type accurately at 20 wpm.
- Must be of good moral character, with no criminal or felony record inconsistent with the provisions of this paragraph. Unacceptable will be persons who have been convicted of a felony, or who have any criminal action pending against them.
- An applicant may be disqualified for multiple misdemeanors, an unacceptable criminal record, or multiple traffic violations.
- Must submit to a pre-employment drug screening.
- Must submit to a pre-employment polygraph test.
- Applicants who have bought, sold, or used marijuana within one year of application, or have bought, sold, or used any controlled substance or narcotic drug without a prescription within six years of application will be disqualified.
Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.
