Senior Supply Chain Manager (Purchasing & Inventory) - Job Description Position Summary

The Senior Supply Chain Manager oversees end-to-end supply chain operations with a strong focus on procurement strategy, inventory optimization, and operational efficiency. This role leads purchasing and inventory teams, develops vendor partnerships, and drives data-driven decisions to improve cost control, service levels, and overall supply chain performance.

• Lead purchasing and inventory management functions, ensuring alignment with business goals
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to reduce costs and mitigate supply risks
• Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management
• Establish inventory control policies, forecasting models, and replenishment strategies
• Analyze demand trends and collaborate with operations, finance, and sales teams
• Monitor KPIs such as inventory turns, fill rate, carrying costs, and supplier lead times
• Implement process improvements, automation, and supply chain best practices
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
• Manage, mentor, and develop supply chain staff

• 7-10+ years of supply chain experience, including leadership responsibility
• Strong background in purchasing, inventory control, and vendor management
• Advanced analytical and Excel skills; experience with ERP/MRP systems
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage complex projects
• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and leadership skills

• CPIM, CSCP, or CPSM certification
• Experience with demand planning tools and supply chain analytics platforms
• Background in process optimization or Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
