As Director TV Einkauf & Forecasting (m/w/d) you will take overall responsibility for the quality and continuous development of our TV forecasts as a central basis for a data-driven TV purchase. Your focus is on ensuring a high level of forecast quality and continuously optimizing accuracy. Thus, you create the basis for informed decisions, efficient campaign management, and a sustainable improvement of purchasing performance.
The role combines analytical excellence with a deep understanding of market mechanics and makes an essential contribution to the further development of our data-driven control in TV.
Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the quality, accuracy, and continuous development of the TV forecast
- Development, validation, and optimization of forecast models and scenarios (short and long term)
- Continuous analysis of TV market development and inflation dynamics by target groups, channels, and time slots
- Identification and integration of central influencing factors (e.g., seasonality, weather, counter programming)
- Establishment and establishment of standards, processes, and governance to ensure high forecast quality
- Translation of forecast findings into concrete action recommendations for efficient campaign management
- Proactive communication of market developments, risks, and opportunities to relevant stakeholders
- Close cooperation with the purchasing teams to anchor the forecast in operational decisions and KPI management
Qualifications:
- Founded background in data analysis, statistics, econometrics, or a comparable environment (experience in the TV or media sector is advantageous, but not a prerequisite)
- Experience in the development and further development of forecast models, analytical frameworks, or data-driven control logics
- Very good understanding of statistical KPIs, modeling approaches, and complex interrelations
- Ability to translate complex analyses into clear, decision-relevant recommendations
- High level of responsibility for data quality and forecast accuracy
- Sophisticated appearance and strong communication skills in dealing with different stakeholders
- Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented working method with a strong ownership mindset
- Very good Excel skills as well as a high affinity for analytical tools and systems (e.g., Media Wizard / Video Scope advantageous)
