Residential Roofing Project Coordinator
Job Summary
The Residential Roofing Project Coordinator supports roofing projects from contract execution through final completion. This role coordinates schedules, materials, crews, inspections, and customer communication to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within scope. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, weather-dependent construction environment.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate residential roofing projects from start to finish
- Schedule roofing crews, subcontractors, and material deliveries
- Track project timelines and adjust schedules due to weather or site conditions
- Order roofing materials (shingles, underlayment, flashing, ventilation, etc.) and confirm delivery timelines
- Serve as the main point of contact for homeowners regarding scheduling, project updates, and expectations
- Prepare and manage job files including contracts, permits, warranties, invoices, and change orders
- Schedule city or county inspections and final walkthroughs
- Communicate daily with project managers, sales teams, and field supervisors
- Monitor job progress and flag delays, material shortages, or quality concerns
- Assist with insurance documentation and supplement coordination when applicable
- Ensure all projects follow safety standards and company quality guidelines
- 1–3+ years of experience in residential roofing or construction coordination
- Strong understanding of roofing systems and terminology (asphalt shingles, metal, flat roofing a plus)
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong communication skills with both crews and homeowners
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction/CRM software (Job Nimbus, Accu Lynx, Buildertrend, or similar)
- Ability to handle high job volume and shifting priorities
- Experience working with insurance claims and adjusters
- Knowledge of local building codes and inspection processes
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Ability to read basic construction or roofing plans
- Office-based with regular communication with field crews and occasional site visits
- Schedule flexibility required due to weather, emergency repairs, or peak roofing season
