Kelley Construction is a multi-faceted commercial and industrial general contractor licensed to perform work in many states across the United States. We offer a wealth of technical expertise in all areas of commercial construction including restaurants, medical facilities, warehousing, fast food chains, large design-build expansions, and general office renovation. We also have broad experience in industrial construction, from liquid storage and containment and petroleum-related construction to pre-engineered metal buildings and concrete construction.
Job Skills / RequirementsPurpose: Under direction of a supervisory official, performs varied types of manual and unskilled laboring work and may drive a truck in connection with laboring work on occasion; does other related duties as required.
General Information: The position involves, but is not limited to, the physical ability to lift and carry items weighing approximately 90 pounds; climb and work from ladders; bend, stoop, work around moving machinery, work around wood dust and fumes; work in inclement weather conditions. May travel and be away from home for several days at a time.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Load, lift, and move supplies, furniture, and equipment
- Dig trenches and do manual grading
- Collect rubbish and other refuse
- Load and unload trucks
- Shovel
- Mix cement and mortar
- Place and strip forms used in concrete work
- Perform cold patching
- Sweep
- Pry and hammer apart sections of wall and roof
- Load debris into truck for removal
- Sort, pile, and clean salvageable brick, stone, lumber, and metal work
- Occasionally drive trucks
- Any and all other related duties assigned by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications: Ability to perform manual tasks either alone or as a member of a group; ability to perform heavy manual labor for prolonged periods; ability to follow prescribed procedures; ensure safety practices are followed on job sites; valid driver's license required.
