We are seeking an experienced Industrial Superintendent to join our team — a field leader who thrives on tight coordination, holds high standards, and can drive a project from groundbreaking to turnover with confidence and professionalism.
Role PurposeThe Industrial Superintendent serves as the on‑site leader and core value champion for Miranda Construction projects across the region. You will be responsible for on‑site coordination across all phases of construction — directing subcontractors, managing schedules, enforcing quality standards, and ensuring every project is completed safely, on time, and in full compliance with plans and specifications regardless of location.
Why You’ll Thrive at Miranda Construction- Accountability and Ownership:
You’ll have real authority in the field and be trusted to lead — not just report. - Strong Subcontractor Relationships:
We treat our subs as partners. You’ll manage relationships built on mutual respect, clear communication, and fair expectations. - Structured Support:
You won’t be left guessing. Our project teams provide the plans, resources, and administrative backbone you need to execute without friction. - Competitive Compensation Package:
Salary, lodging/per diem support, bonus, company vehicle, fuel card, health/dental/vision, 401k, PTO, and paid holidays. - Career Growth:
We invest in field leaders who produce results and want to grow within the organization.
- Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in a critical path sequence to ensure timely project completion.
- Walk all project areas daily to monitor work progress and support forward planning.
- Preside over weekly subcontractor coordination meetings to align the work and address issues proactively.
- Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team for timely resolution.
- Travel to assigned project locations throughout the region as required.
- Temporarily relocate near project sites for project durations as necessary.
- Maintain strong communication with corporate operations and project management teams while working remotely.
- Adapt quickly to new project teams, jurisdictions, owners, and site conditions.
- Manage projects with limited direct supervision while maintaining Miranda Construction standards.
- Perform ongoing quality control inspections and enforce strict adherence to plans, specifications, and local codes.
- Issue notices of non‑compliance to subcontractors for deficient work, scheduling failures, or safety violations.
- Ensure all identified deficiencies are corrected by the responsible subcontractor before proceeding.
- Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions and applicable authorities.
- Perform job progress punch lists and completion walkthroughs with thoroughness and accountability.
- Ensure each subcontractor is fully executing and complying with their contracted scope of work.
- Identify subcontractor non‑compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
- Communicate with the project team regarding ASIs, RFIs, and material submittals.
- Preside at pre‑construction meetings with each subcontractor to align expectations before work begins.
- Monitor and enforce Miranda Construction safety standards and OSHA compliance at all times.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, and jobsite audits regularly.
- Ensure the job site is consistently kept clean, organized, and secure.
- Open the job site at the start of each day; secure it at the end of the day.
- Report and address potentially unsafe conditions immediately.
- Maintain a daily report of all site activities, workforce levels, and notable events.
- Gather and maintain project material submittals and records of approvals at the job site.
- Communicate drawing and specification conflicts or deviations to the project team prior to execution.
- Assist the Project Manager with schedule updates and planning.
- Participate in pre‑construction planning…
