Job Summary

Weber Construction is seeking a superintendent responsible for the timely completion of the project and ensuring construction is in strict accordance with plans, specifications, and local codes. The Project Superintendent schedules subcontractors, consultants, and vendors, ensures their completion of work within time allowed, coordinates field work, and enforces job site quality control programs.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions
  • Schedule subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely completion.
  • Perform quality control duties regarding the work being performed.
  • Communicate with project team regarding ASIs, RFIs, and material submittals.
  • Ensure the subcontractor fully executes and complies with contracted scope of work.
  • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
  • Identify subcontractor non‑compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate to the project team for resolution.
  • Maintain daily log of activities on the jobsite.
  • Ensure subcontractor corrects all deficiencies identified by the project team.
  • Walk all units on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.
  • Schedule and conduct weekly subcontractor meetings to coordinate work.
  • Communicate issues of non‑compliance to subcontractors regarding quality of work or scheduling.
  • Ensure job site is always kept clean and organized.
  • Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
Secondary Functions
  • Assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions.
  • Gather project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the jobsite.
  • Identify areas of work that are outside of subcontracted scope.
  • Along with Project Manager, attend pre‑construction meeting with each subcontractor.
  • Open the jobsite at the beginning of the day and secure the jobsite at the end of the day.
Qualifications & Educational Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • 5 years in the construction industry.
  • Basic computer skills for entering time and communicating by email.
  • Preferred:
    Successfully completed OSHA 10 or OSHA 30‑hour courses.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record; drivers must comply with DOT Commercial Driver License regulations where applicable.
  • When applicable, reliable means of transportation.
  • Must communicate effectively with co‑workers, contractors, superiors, architects, engineers, subcontractors, building code authorities, and owners.
  • Ability to read and correctly interpret blueprints/drawings and take‑off accurate measurements.
  • Sound understanding of accepted construction practices, techniques, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of building materials, tools, and machinery.
