Construction Operator – Travel (Industrial)
LOUISVILLE, KY, United States of America
Salary: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
OverviewKelley Construction is a multi-faceted commercial and industrial general contractor licensed to perform work in many states across the United States. We offer a wealth of technical expertise in all areas of commercial construction including restaurants, medical facilities, warehousing, fast‑food chains, large design‑build expansions and general office renovation. We also have broad experience in industrial construction, from liquid storage and containment and petroleum‑related construction to pre‑engineered metal buildings and concrete construction.
Responsibilities- Ensures projects are completed safely, properly and productively.
- Enforces safety programs, rules and procedures.
- Ensures all employees wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensures work complies with Kelley and customer procedures and directives.
- Ensures proper housekeeping is maintained by the field crew.
- Serves as the assistant to the superintendent.
- Identifies, addresses, and corrects job‑site problems that arise while working with the crew.
- Assists the superintendent with documentation such as reports, inspection logs, timesheets, and drawings.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- 2 years of supervisory experience in a commercial or industrial construction environment.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of form carpentry, concrete finishing and/or mobile equipment operations in industrial construction.
- Ability to coach, lead and direct a construction crew.
- Ability to read, interpret and execute construction drawings, specifications and work plans.
- Eligibility for a Transportation Worker Industry Card (TWIC) from the Department of Homeland Security.
- OSHA 10‑hour certification.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel up to 100% of the time.
- Comfort with web‑based applications;
Procore experience is a plus. - Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Requires lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and working around moving machinery, dust, and fumes. Must work in inclement weather and be able to lift and carry up to 90 lbs.
