Rockford Homes is looking for a bright and driven Construction Manager for their Central Ohio operations. The role involves overseeing the progress of homes under construction, working closely with inspectors and sales teams, and ensuring timely completion of projects.

• Runs projects in the +/- 1,000,000 range
• Oversees multiple subcontractors
• Works closely with inspectors
• Sets agenda and arranges and attends meetings with inspectors, sales team, buyers, and buyer’s representatives
• Provides weekly updates and responds to questions/concerns
• Visualizes end product from plans
• Identifies problems and seeks solutions
• Understands complete layout including grading and plot plan information
• Makes sensible field decisions without office backup
• Motivates crews to meet schedules and guide critical timelines
• Responsible for safety on the entire project
• Proficient with ECI Marks System
• Updates Production Manager to adjust manpower, equipment, and activity for maximum productivity
• Understands subcontractor work intricacies
• Builds positive relationships with subcontractors and customers
• Manages inspector-superintendent relationship
• Handles employee work and personal issues under his/her direction
• Trains Punch Out Specialists
• Resolves customer and vendor concerns with guidance from management
• Conducts full quantity take-offs from plans and site conditions
• Assists with modifications to designer’s plans for greater efficiency and profitability
• Basic understanding of estimating, including change order pricing
• Basic understanding of project management techniques

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in single‑family construction is required
• Minimum of 5 years of Construction Management experience

Compensation Range – Variable and based on experience
